handbrake cable length

anyone know the length of the off side handbrake cable on a 172?

ive had 2 now from renault and both have been 2 short, so got 1 from a motor factors today and would rather find out if its 2 short before i try to fit it, this ones 136cm long and i forgot to measure the renault ones before i sent them back!

Maybe easiest to take the old one off and take to the motor factors or renault. My mate had a simialr problem, I think theres different versions for different years etc. Renault are shite, they got his wrong twice too even after giving the reg plate, until he took the old one in.

threw the old one in the bin last week lol!

apparently renault got a dodgey batch that were 2" too small or something the parts dept said, so thats why they cant get me one! dont know how true that is?
