Gazwolds Track 172 Cup

Hi Guys

I have been on here a few months now and decided it time to introduce myself and my car.

I bought this car already prepared for track but now i am working on it to make it better, I have only had it since September as I didnt want to use my dail driver ( Audi TT Quattro Sport ) on the track any more, since then i have and done both Nurburgring where it ran and handled great and I did Circuit Croix De Ternois ( Franve as I live here mostly ) where I found the car understeered alot so I will be consentrating on setting up the suspenion over the winter here is the spec and a few pics, hope you like, Also i have added a a pic of my TT which is 290bhp, hope you like.

Does that still have the adjuster rings on the rear springs or have they been removed? Didnt think B14's could go that low on the back

Like the Clio mate, very similar spec to mine. Love the cups with White 2118's.

Thanks for the comments guys, plans for the clio are to dial in the suspension with some camber and toe adjustment and a rear anti roll bar and front and rear strut braces, then looking at doing a limited slip diff, matched inlets, and a few more sets of wheels then get back on the track next year and see what next.

Mikekean: no the rear rings are removed to go that little lower.

The guy that had the car before me poured money into this car with no expense spared and far play to him he did a great job.

As for the TT I have poured far to much money into it LOL and may be selling it soon as I have just signed a contract for a new job which included a company car and fuel for even personal use so the TT wont be used alot and I have no room as my girlfriend also has a car and we are starting to take over the street as i only have space in my garage for one car.

The exhaust was on the car when I bought it but tbh I will be putting another box in the system somewhere as it's to loud and with the interior out I have to wear eat plugs when driving it on the road, on track it's ok as my helmet removes some of the sound.

I know phil lol I was looking at your thread and thought the same and what is funny is that we know eachother from years ago when you had your 106 and I had my pulsar gtir and 200sx lol

It was a 106 quicksilver - only a 1.4 lol

I'm still really good mates with Rick who ran CruiseLincs - and my cars being mapped by Phill - you might remember he had a 306 sprint car and his girlfriend Kat had a 106 rallye (still does actually) lol

Thanks for the comments guys the ducts on the front bumper are from a clio cup race car thats all i know sorry as the guy before me did them all i know is they arent so great if you go in the gravel i was diggibg stones out the brakes for about a hour

Right there may not be any updates on the car for the next few months as I have dry stored it for now due to changing my job and having to sort my company car, and moving everything I have to France as I have a house there but have been living in Holland for the past 3 years, But if i start getting parts together or the TT sells fast allowing me to move the clio over to my garage in France I will let you guys know.

They from a thing called a dyno tape writer at work but you can buy the machine in staples I believe

There is still work to be done but I want to enjoy a few track day now to shake down any problem before my week at Nurburgring in Aug, but think I will be there a few times before then as I'm only about 3 1/2 hours from my house.
