Gameplay looks very good, just need to buy a PS4 if it supports my wheel.
Question for @Lee though if he's able to answer, will the Fanatic GT3RS wheel be supported on this?

Does it have any force feedback? Been looking at the Logitech G920 but it's Damon expensive. £150+ second hand!
No, doesn't have the Force Feedback, that one's about £200.
Think you definitely need a proper rig to attach it to though if you go the FF route. I've just made a DIY stand for mine and if it had FF it would probably never hold lol
Its worth getting a FF wheel, its so much more of an experience to drive with.
I got the Fanatec 911 GT3RS v2 wheel about 5 years ago, but its worth every penny if you enjoy racing games.

Really looking forward to this now - the career mode looks so much more in depth - you can upgrade your car but it takes time,theres a graph which shows team performance comparisons,so if youre at Renualt you could catch up with the likes of Williams in a few seasons.
I'm currently in bidding wars on eBay for second hand wheels. I have a set limit to spend and keep being beaten to it.
Having used the Ferrari 458 non FF wheel, Im now really wanting the FF version! Trouble is I dont have a games room as such so would have to set up the wheel for every play which would be a lot of hassle as I'd need a proper rig too.
Also had a quick go on F1 2013 earlier (the best in the series imo) and I forgot about the dirty, rubber collecting side of the track that seems redundant in 2015

Got my copy today,really impressed so far - the career mode seems really in depth and you could spend loads of time in Practice trying to earn the upgrade resources. Im starting right at the bottom with Manor on Expert AI. Got manual starts and pits,so will have to master those! All this extra buildup will make the race even more important - much more engrossing than last years shallow championship mode.
The engine sounds have been improved,sound more realistic with different exhaust notes,and the other AI cars sounds have been improved as they go around the track. Although once again the engineer is SO quiet through the pad speaker,can hardly hear him on max setting - so ill be using the earphones like last year. The atmosphere on the tracks is really good,makes them feel alive.
All the cockpit cam are fully customisable which is great - although im missing the 'look to apex' setting from Pcars - i seem to corner better with that slightly turned on.

Just got this on PC. I play (badly) with XO pad on the hardest skill level with the aids turned off.
Firstly I have to congratulate Codemasters as this time they finally nailed it. It is the first game that feels "right" to me especially when driving using a pad and no aids. Even when it goes wrong (which it frequently does for me!) it goes wrong in the right way if you know what I mean. Even the feck ups look and feel realistic as the car appears to do what the real cars do on TV (which is the only measure I have).
Couple of questions:
1, How do you take a screenshot? Printscreen just gives me a black image!
2, Is there no way to enable the feedback in the XO pads triggers? After playing Forza games on XO I just cannot drive without TC/ABS on a pad anymore without that feedback in the triggers. Do any XO owners have it? Do your triggers vibrate?

Ive started my career with Manor on Expert AI. Im still on Australia practise after a few hours ha,im really struggling with the tyre management test - i think my style of driving lends itself to high tyre wear so im finding it hard to keep it out of the red. My pace is well off aswell,im currently 0.3 off 21st! I will see how qualy goes later...

Its brilliant. Its everything last years half arsed effort should have been. Really impressed with how in-depth it is. Used to just skip practice but not anymore its taking most of the day to do a whole race weekend. Well done codemasters. Could we have a BTCC version now pleeeease??
I bought this today on PS4, so far had one quick race using pad and it looked great. I'll play again later today with my wheel and see how it is compared to 2015. I do like how you can see the pit boards when on the start/finish straight, can't recall if they were there last year or not.
I've started my career with Manor too, on PS4 pad and I too am struggling with times and that tyre management test is far too hard! I'm 2-3 seconds off the target time trying to get good management.
The handling is a challenge but I welcome one, will take sometime to get used to.

Well i qualified in 18th in Australia,my TM narrowly beat me into 17th,but our pace was better than both Renaults surprisingly. Both Williams had grid pens and started at the back!
To the race,there was an incident on lap 2 where Nasr spun as i went to overtake him,my TM crashed into him and held all the others up behind,so i had a nice bit of breathing space. Nasr retired as a result. The race went pretty smooth and i finished in 14th,having a nice battle with Button throughout. Massa fought his way back up into 10th and got driver of the day,a nice touch. I easily beat my TM Wehlein,who didnt have his qualifying pace. A good start really!

I switched the radio output device to the main output rather than the pad, this is found in advanced audio settings. Much louder now.
Been playing it for an hour or so now. Am I the only one who thinks the graphics (in particular the people in the team/paddock) are not that great? The people don't look any better than the older 360 F1 games IMO. Still a great game but from what I've seen its not where I'd thought it would be by now.

Are you playing on the Xbox One? If so the ISR review did mention the graphics lacked the clarity of the PS4 and especially the PC version. They also mentioned the pixelated writing.
Yes playing on Xbox One. The people in the paddock and garage look like something out of a 2008 Xbox 360 game to be honest.
Oh yeah, the game is really good and am lovleing it. I just think they could have done a better job at the basics, given how good other games look these days.

Manor - Expert - Bahrain
So onto Bahrain...my pace was surorisingly good there,i qualified way up in 13th. The race started and i found myself in 5th! I was thinking this seems a bit easy but my tyres started to die with Ricciardo catching me so i pitted early and then shortly after my TM retired which caused a safety car. I couldnt find the pace after that and for some reason my strategy changed from the one i selected,going in for softs instead of mediums.
It meant an extra 3rd stop for SS tyres,and i found my self doing a quick stint in the end,but only managed to finish in 19th! My fastest lap was actually quicker than 5th placed Raikkonens! So its a race of what mightve been....
Button finished in 6th and he was a guy i was right with for a while..but he only 2 stopped.

Right, I put the Monor on P4 in qually. Where's the 'well done' and fottage of me getting out of the car like in the previous games? It was like, P4, move on... Im not understanding why every review has said its an awesome game as you are much more indepth. The only improvements are three more years ina career and development points... Im finding it very flat.
Ive had no sign of any sparks off the cars, and I cant see any pit boards. A bit dissapointed with the whole game so far to be honest.

Really? The career mode is the meat of the game and its so much more in-depth this time - development points have never been in any of the CM F1 games and the potential evolution of the teams and drivers over the seasons is the biggest addition in years....theres more strategy to think about this time with the alternate ways to approach a race considering tyres. Its far from flat in my eyes,theres a great atmosphere on track aswell - theyve really improved the sound of the other AI cars around the circuit. I noticed pit boards in China last night,but its not something that really catches your eye,only if you go out to look for them.
The big downside for me is the driver human models,compared to Uncharted 4, its like looking at a PS2 game hehe! I think they need to get some specialist developers in next time to make the humans look really good. The cars themselves look great in the garage cut scenes etc.
Great experience so far. They've finally fixed the degradation - it happens naturally over the course of a race to make the car more difficult to drive quickly, rather than impossible to drive in previous games. Haven't broken the wheel out of the cupboard yet, just using xbox pad on PC and it's leagues better than 15 for me. Had a few little glitches with the safety car where i've been last and everyone in front has pitted. Then it's bugging me telling me to catch up to the safety car and that i'm more than 10 car lengths behind (well I wasn't until everyone else pitted!).
