Do all182's have xenons?

  172
No. Only standard 182 (inc cup packs) I.e. not the 182 Cup or Trophy. http://www.cliosport.net/content/guides/Renault Sport Clio Guide.pdf

A 182 cup can theoretically do everything (accellerate, brake, corner) marginally faster due to being slightly lighter. However in the real world there will be negligible difference in 0-60 times etc nor will a cup go around a roundabout 10mph quicker. Whether your tyre pressures are correct or whether you have a stupid heat-soak induction kit will probably make more of a difference around a lap.

Ok mate thanks to the reply and link to the guide, so I've made up my mind I want a FF 182 basically lol what should I be paying on a 2005 182 both cup packs average mileage?

I just paid £3200 for 05 plate 182 in silver with 61k on the clock. I was however very lucky. Looking around they tend to go for around £3500 to £4000 I would say.

From what I've seen the silver and artic blue ones are generally a bit cheaper than the other colours

Also depends a lot on location at this sort of price. Decent 182s seem to pop up for £2500 a fair amount "up north" but if you're on the south coast you need £3k minimum for a shed.

Cambelt changes (5 years, 72k miles) cost in the region of £500 - £750 so this has a big influence on the perceived value of a 182.

Make sure the belts are done by Renault or a Renault specialist for peace of mind. And make sure the bonnet it locked too! ;) Too many horror stories on here about cambelts failing or bonnets flying up on the way home from buying the car!

Tbh i would probably buy a 182 off somebody with a decent reputation on here. :approve:

Yeah I would prefer to buy from someone on a forum, especially because you can read back and see what the cars been up to. I am right in thinking I could get a very tidy one for 3-4k? '55 plate approx?
