Convoy to Duxford car & plane show (Pic heavy!)

  3000GT & RB 182
The Imperial War Museum in Duxford had a big event today, called "Spitfires, Merlins and Motors" which basically was a day full of sports- and classic cars, and loads of planes.

Decided to go there with a few mates, and met up locally before heading to a breakfast place in a little village, where we met up with more people, and then it was of in convoy via loads of twisty B roads to the actual event.

Really good fun, i'd not taken the Clio out on any hoons and definately enjoyed it, they're just made for the little B roads aren't they! :race:

Five of us left at 06:30 this morning (empty roads!) :

Very much enjoyed sitting behind my mate in his 360 with very loud custom exhaust most of the way! I need to win the lottery and buy one!

Arrived at breakfast location and had a bite to eat whilst watching more and more cars turning up :

Great day all in all!

A couple cars had Gopro's attached to their roof, so hopefully a video like this will be online soon as well, featuring my little 182 :D

Cheers! Very enjoyable day indeed, and I have to say, my new little182 didn't disappoint on his first outing playing with the big boys.

That would certainly explain why a Dakota flew over the park where I walk the dog this morning,
probably on it's way to this thing after refuelling at Bagington.

Great photo's but the clio looks a bit out of place :(

Yea I'll have to agree with that, though quite a few people where still interested in it, asking questions and having a look in/around it, especially after the first half of the trip during our little pit stop.

A few people who were behind me said they were well impressed with the handling and the how early I could put power back on in the bends.

Three guys there (355 spider owner, cobra and megane) also own 182's.

  Many.
My mate said to me last night there had been some very nice cars in Finchingfield today.

Looks like a brilliant meet, with a nice mix of cars between you guys.

Good to meet you mate. Nice write up and pictures. Clio didn't look out of place at all. That's the good thing about these meets you get a nice varied selection of cars.

The Black impreza, is that is it Frayz who owns that?

Yes it is mate a.k.a "The Bomber".;)
