Can I stop 182 alarm bleeping

  clio 182
As the title says.
Can I stop the 182 alarm bleeping every time I lock and unlock the doors with the remote?

Might be the plastic bonnet pin (tells the car wether it's open or closed )
My cars is faulty and beeps occasionally.
Specialist renault garage spotted it when it went in for a service. He said it would cause it to beep.

Might be the same thing that applies to other doors too.

Had a good look and can't find anything wrong. It bleeps twice when I lock it and once when I unlock. .

It's not unusual.
I think if you somewhat delay locking with remote after you have switched off the ignition and shut the door, it won't beep, mine has always done two beeps, unless locking with remote is delayed by about 1 minute, never timed it exactly though - but try it.
It's as though it's just the alarm processing time, I know lots of others do this, mine is a very early build I guess (53 plate 182) , perhaps they fixed it later?.

My old RB did that. Some did it from he factory iirc. I think it can be deactivated by pluggon it into clip.

Alarms are aftermarket so not in the factory loom. They don't show on clip. In the guides there are some instructions for the two models fitted to the ph2s.

Also
"Another common problem is when you lock the car the alarm beeps 2 or 3 times.

Reason: The alarm system has received a signal from the vehicle ECU that the ignition is 'on' causing the alarm to beep. This signal is only received by the alarm for 3 to 4 seconds, after this time has elapsed the alarm stops beeping.

Solution: It can only be resolved at a Renault dealer. Ask the dealer to contact the 'Renault alarm help line' and quote reference
'RS+15'

If I recall correctly from previous threads on the same subject it doesn't stop the alarm working but is more annoying in nature, personally I like it beeping.

No harm in getting Renault to check it out when yours is in for a service etc, assuming that its still in warranty?

Hi Jeffer.. this is the most correct qupte so far on this thread fella. IMO
Had exactly this happen to mine nearly 2 yrs ago. Had it fixed under warrenty at the dealer where i bought it from, something to do with a relay incorrectly wired up. Was only a small job to put fight.. about 20 mins.. and that was the first time they'd ever done it! Not had any problems with it since either.. Just get it booked in if it annoys you.
