Well it's not a ph1 like I wanted, but an opportunity come up to do a deal with a fellow CS member (NickMelson) on my 197 so I went for it. was a pleasure to deal with Nick and his friend Harry.

Renaultsport No 5 for me now

here's the spec as it stands

Engine:
Ktec Induction kit
RS Matched Inlets
K-tec Remap
vibratec gearbox and Engine mounts
Powerflex dogbone mount
Full custom stealth system with Decat
Solid Circlip plate


Chassis:
H&R Coilovers
Pure motorsport solid top mount kit and strut brace
Fully Powerflexed
Whiteline Rear anti roll bar
Rear strut brace


Brakes:
Goodridge braided lines
Super Blue racing fluid
Brembo HC Discs
Ferodo DS2500 pads


Wheels and tyres:
Just refurbished in silver Speedline 2118 (Originally from a Clio cup racer)
Maxxies MA-Z1 tyres


Other bits:
Carbon Washer jet blanks
Carbon diamonds
Carbon bullets
Carbon Interior dash strips
3/4 front plate
RS200 Rear RS badge
172 Xenons
Ali footrest plate
De-wiperd and blank replaced
Skoda fabia splitter

Nick had said its probably cammed but doesn't have any receipt for them but does have dyno run print out of 191bhp to back it up so that was nice, definitely seems to pull harder than both my old 182's

The plans are...

To remove the stickers as I feel their more personal to the previous owner

I want to go for a more oem look so the carbon bullets and diamonds will be going back to standard, luckily they look to only be wrapped so they can just peel off.

Remove the sunstrip.

Put a standard head unit in.

The bearing has gone on the drivers side top mount so I need to sort that.

Fit spacers

Fit a sabelt steering wheel to replace the standard bus wheel

We all know you won't have her in a year, I doubt you even last til feb! It's a tempting offer but now I've got it I just want to crack on with this one and get it ready for track, we're see how things are come feb.

It's a completely different car to the 197, it's loud, rattlery and Raw which I like. Faster too

So I started to do a couple little bits today, first of was a new aerial as the old one had either been shortened or snapped off.

So this is how the front end looked to start with. im not a fan of the carbon so wanted to go back to standard. luckily the cup washer blanks were just underneath some carbon covers so I started to pull them off, they were bonded in pretty tight but got them off in the end. had to get the tar and glue remover out to get the glue off after.

A bit of paint come off the edge of one of them so ill have to get a touch up pen for that.

Yeah mines all gd cheers dude needs a couple of things like new tyres & geometry needs setting up in the new year. Ill look forward to seeing your cup mate

Woo your abit slow haha. Sold that about 18 months ago. 2 days after I sold the engine went bang! I felt so bad but the guy who I sold it to was fine about it. The au x belt jumped onto the cambelt. No way I could of know this could of happened. I got a 280 bhp type r after. Got a astra gsi look van atm and a track ph1

yeah hopefully i'll get to some meet next year, will probably go to the surrey rolling road in feburary.

Cheers Tom, yeah I will be doing something with the interior, just can't decide weather to go down the strip out, buckets and harnesses route, or go for something like non cup interior with treadlines. Either way the peasant spec seats need to go.
