Starting problem, immob light sticks on sometimes until i unplug the relayx in the engine compartment

What's wrong with it? If it runs and there's nothing wrong with it then it's worth between 2-2.5k.

Lol at only getting £1200 for breaking it, at least £2,000 easily in parts.

Depends if you want to wait a year to sell the parts, I looked at breaking mine and partially did and you would struggle to get much more than £1200 in a couple of months, Have you seen the prices of clios lately? , Cups are fetching £1500 on ebay daily with nothing wrong with them, One went the other day for £1200 which needed the cambelt replacing but had no issues...

I'd say the following were bare minimum breaking prices:

PH1: 1250
PH2 Cup: 1650
PH2 172: 1650
PH2 182: 1850

Thats for a standard one, main items, not bothering with all the interior plastics & other sh1t that add up over time.

What would be the main items people would want off the car? Sorry about the questions havent broke one before..

Omg, i have a immobiliser problem with my cup and it wont start

Hope i dont have to end up breaking it for parts

If you have space, time and a lot of patience. Break it.

Otherwise, sell it as it is.

Or more sensibly, get it fixed and keep it :S

Its all good breaking a car but you don't get all the money in one go, and could take months to shift it all and then you'll still left with all the parts people don't want

I was already selling it before the immobiliser fault, just didnt really want to spend any money on it

Had the same immobiliser problem with mine as well as Dan freeman 182 too, tried lots of things the both of us and nothing ever fixed the problem.

The only way it would seem to fix it was a whole car wiring loom, with ecu and uch.

What relay in the engine bay is to the immobiliser? and also to the petrol pump?

If you can disconnect the sensor tho from the engine bay, why not get a car security company to look at it for you but also enquire about a cat 1 immob installed in its replacement. Just fishing about on the net, they can be had for about £200 ish installed.
Breaking it for 1400 tops or fix and sell for 2k+, ok minus the cost of a new immob means 1800 but thats 400 more than breaking plus a s**t load less hassel.

As we have found breaking cars is a right ball ache. Taking it to bits and advertising it is easy but dealing with idiots will drive you mad. Most people are spot on but you will attract a lot of messers

As said by a few other people I would try and get it fixed up and then either keep it or sell it! I would suggest going to a specialist who has decent experience with wiring in the clio's, depending on location I would give Matt at TDF/ Track group a call as he knows his way round the clio wiring loom pretty well :) I would really try to avoid breaking it as although you can sell some parts really easily others can take ages to shift and think of all the time you'll spend advertising them, packaging and posting them!

Piss off bob, I'm takingthe spoiler. :)

Really just try and get it fixed, or even a quote to get it fixed then decide what to do!

Ok people, what are the bits that he wont be able to shift?

Yea, some one might want the engine with gearbox and all the gubbin's. But how will you get rid of the shell? It could be sat on your drive way for some months.

Tbh, if its not too expensive to fix then I don't see why you'd need to break it, wheels aside, it looks like a nice car!

As i was selling it anyway i didnt really want to throw money at it trying to find out problems as ive seen a few on here with problems like mine and theyve been a ballache to sort..

Yeh that was another thing i needed to get round to was to quieten it down, where you moved to now mate?

Sell it cheap, can you really be arsed with the hassle of breaking it?

im not really sure how much i could ask for it as it is tbh..

  TRACK CAR BREAKING
Find someone who is already Breaking a car and but the ecu, UCH and keys off them. The usually sell for 200 and then you have a fixed car. Breaking is a bloody pain in the arse!!

Have you broken a car before?

If not, and you want to, then it's got to be worth doing just for the experience IMO.

I reckon I would get more for mine if I decided to break it as apposed to selling it. Just couldn't be assed with the hassle
