BBPT @ the RTOC National day

Just a quick not to thank all the Clio owners that dropped by at the weekend, was a welcoming sight to see so many faces both old and new.

It was nice to give the 172 Turbo a chance to stretch its legs. Its currently midway through its track prep and without any drag strip preparation, it still managed to post a 13.2 on road legal tyres @ 13 psi and on only its 3rd ever run at the pod (One of the quickest road legal times of the day?). Who knows, once we get past the wheel spin barrier in first, second and sometimes third and get those 60ft times down (4.030 being our worst)…… With some more work planned for the near future, the 172T will be reappearing at a circuit near you soon…..

Roll on Trax!

have you got any kind of launch control on there andy, as it must be a nightmare *trying to get the power down*

y0z, No launch control mate, Tyres are A048 Yokos, It was all a bit of joke really. Having to hold the car in each gear as it kept poping out with engine movement (have to something about that) De-catted the car before we went, so not sure on the current power, but its made a hell of a difference higher up the rpm.

Bought the tyres for the track anyway, certainly would not recommend them for santa pod. Got the car on the ramp and measured a contact area of 150mm used on each side due to rounded edges!

Still, well happy with the result considering. Im lead to believe the fastest on road legal tyres that day? Enjoyed myself and may have a proper bash at the 1/4 mile another time.
