  Fiesta ST + Clio 182
hello everyone.

Been on here a while now and thought it was about time I posted some pics of my car. I have alreay done a lot of work to it as it is.

this is her when I bought her in november 2010.

car only had 45000 mile on when i bought it. its up to 60000 now. unfortunately the cambelt hasnt been done but i am looking at getting it done in the next few month and a proper service from a renault specialist.

i put my sport grille and silvervision on i had from my old 5dr clio but the car stayed like this for a while. Until i got some 172 alloys on budget tyres for £150.

Sprayshack then sprayed my diamonds, bullets and clio writing(brilliant work by them, highly recommended).

I soon got bored of the standard silver wheels so i decided to rattle can them in ford graphite grey. they come out surprisingly good tbh.

please forgive the messy tyres.

first time I'd used a clay bar and absolutely loved the results.

I bought some eibach sportlines, heko wind deflectors from jake off here, some 172 pearl black door strips off tunst and a bee sting aerial off the bay as well.

after that i bought a 172 bumper off here but I've forgotten who it was off and a cup spoiler, again I've forgot who from.

I know this is probably boring but if you've got this far you'll go on :p

tunst then very kindly sold me his old 172 interior and dropped it off for me.

ive uprated all light bulbs, speakers, new headunit with built in parrot, cs stickers, fitted a skoda splitter, bought some new bumper strips colour coded off mcnuff(i think), a 3/4 plate and have 25mm hubcentric spacers all round.

thats about all tbh and this is how it looks now

C+C welcome

not the greatest bunch of pics you've ever saw but i'll get some decent ones when my cameras not f*cking up. thanks for looking

cheers mate glad someone likes it :D
only thing I keep thinking about is changing the wheels to some oz's. I'll have to get 16s though because 15s with sportlines tends to have too big a gap, and tbh I'd love coilies but I'm a bit worried the ride quality would be very poor ;/
i was thinking of doing the wheel diamonds orange just to add a bit colour.

Mate everyone on here will like it lol.
Would be nice, think dynamics 1/1.2 would be nice aswell. I have coilovers and tbh you get used to the ride, like a little go-kart lol. But na it aint all that bad. And makes the car look better ;)
Could do, but I think it looks nice with either black or silver, never been mad on the colours but up to you mate.

feel free to have a look at my project thread mate, similar to yours but may give you some ideas, although yours is better lol. Looking to upgrade to a sport but insurance is being a pig.

Already read through your project for a bit inspiration mate lol
loved your car when you had it lower like. now it looks so clean and tidy with them 182 wheels on.
what coil-overs have you got? I'm not a big fan of colour on a black car and tbh I dont want to change the diamonds and make the car look chavvy :/ thats why I was wanted to buy some more diamonds, see what it looks like, if I hated them just sell them on and keep the black ones.
really like the pro race 1.2s.
my insurance runs out in september and will 2 year ncb and 3 year driving experience its still £2000+ insurance for a 172 :/

O lol fair enough.
Thanks mate, did wanna be lower at first but was scraping everywhere, and couldn't be bothered driving slow and being careful everywhere, couldnt even get on/ off my drive which became a pain especially when I wanted to clean it lol. So I raised it a bit, still looks low but not slammed.
Raceland ones.
Have a search for Jake? look at his project thread, he had bright green that did actually look really nice. Or try wrapping them in carbon. Going stealth. Although the grey looks nice mate.
Yeah I wanna change my wheels to a set tbf.
Mine finishes March and I will have 2 years NCB and I cant get it lower than £3000 :(

  Fiesta ST + Clio 182
I've read jake?'s project as well lol I bought his wind deflectors off him a while ago and I was trying to buy his bumper but I think you got it :p
I think I'll try a photoshop of my wheels with the orange diamonds and see what it looks like. Then i might change the 16v on the bullets to orange as well. but all that can wait for the time being lol
how much trouble are coilies? like setup and camber etc?

  BMW 330ci
Yeah I got the bumper, wheels and spacers off him lol.
Give it a try mate.
Was a bit of a fiddle, but read the guide and you'll be fine mate, I done it and I aint got that much mechanical knowledge. Then you just need to get the tracking done.

Was tryna find a thread about your car yesterday haha looks really nice mate. I really like it, I agree with the OZ rims though they'd look really decent in black or dark grey. I'm thinking about wind deflectors for my car too, quite unique on clios but still looks pretty decent. I think you should keep it all black to be honest, I think the orange would cheapen the look but hey i'm probably wrong haha.

  Fiesta ST + Clio 182
I don't think I could put coilies on myself. Im not confident enough to do it alone. My be if someone from here could help me do it then I could learn lol
Actually it was the spacers I was after not the bumper lol
I'll keep the grey for now I think.
Cheers twiztid

haha cheers mate, I'll have to give them a try out and see what they're like.

Looks tidy, nice to see someone new actually doing a clean job of their mods, rather than going for random colours or chav style!

thanks mate. Put a bright colour on the car never crossed my mind until recently, but I'd never go over the top like some people have with colours like green lol

I wet and dried my lights today as they were hazey, but when I've come out to the car tonight they have a slight amount of condensation inside them. have I done some wrong? I followed the guide but if these stay like this I'm going to have to buy new lights as i hate the look of it. May be xenons? :p
cheers

I hate having black at times, dirt seems to show up really easy lol I did want a silver one at first but ended up getting this.

  Clio 1.2 16V
Want to swap for mine lol :p, would prefer a black one tbh itd be easier to match the trim, its a b**ch to do anything with mine :(

  Fiesta ST + Clio 182
my old clio was royal blue. it looked a bit purple in some lights. hated the thing, couldnt find anything to go with it.
but there are others on here who pulled that colour off and did well with it. just look around the forum for more inspiration matey.

  Clio 1.2 16V
Yeah true, ill try and do more once its gets a bit warmer , will keep an eye on this thread keep up the good work :)

  crashed clio
looks good mate ;)
how do you find the spacers? iv got the same car but with 172 alloys. Do they feel any diff to drive with?

  Fiesta ST + Clio 182
They are 172 alloys as well mate. They're fine to drive with didn't notice much difference tbh.

  Fiesta ST + Clio 182
Yeah I used that and menzerna on it. Just by had though I didn't have my drill at the time. I know I need to re do it as there not perfect.

I'd say to re-do them then.

I thought that mine was cloudy and it turned out I hadn't polished them enough. :) Second time round I had my rotary polisher so they came out really well.

  Fiesta ST + Clio 182
I've only got a battery drill :/ need to get a polisher for it though. You know where I could get one mate?

Tbh a battery drill can do the job no problem, it just depends if you like cleaning your car as well?

Also depends how much money you want to spend really?

  Fiesta ST + Clio 182
Well I'm not too fused on a polisher or da for the paint work yet I just need an attachment for my drill. Not sure where to get one? :s

  Fiesta ST + Clio 182
Need mind I've found one. I'll pop to Halfords tomorrow o pick some stuff up then try my lights again.

Got my replacement cup spoiler brake light today thanks to Tom from wests Renault. Quick delivery. Cheers.
