1.2 engine oil

What engine oil is recommended for 1.2 16v, 5w40 or 10w40?

Says in my haynes anything from 10w30-50, so id say 10w40 pal

Yeh 10-40 for non-sports.

10w/40 semi synthetic on vehicles up to 2002 then they changed it to 5w/40 fully synthetic but in truth either or will be fine. Just don't try and leave a semi synthetic in for 12-18000 miles
