Ive killed my clio, what would you do next?

Yeah I agree on returns if I put new engine, and I bet it would be one of those where you end up spending more than you anticipated. And no mot ticket in 2 months so theres another can of worms. She is going to be harvested and boxed up for you lovely folk. On that note, is ebay a sensible...

My Phantom sloppy steering issue, help needed!

Guys, I just read this http://www.cliosport.net/threads/steering-rack-is-it-broke.731422/ Someone there had an issue with the bottom UJ on column, but the steering seemed to act immediately, like me. Now, how do I remove the big rubber gaito r without ruining it? Cheers

My Phantom sloppy steering issue, help needed!

Looking down at the driver side wheel, it moves immediately when turning steering wheel ever so slightly:weary: certainly one of those rare moments when you are disappointed that something isn't broken... I'm guessing checking all the alignment is next I suppose, I presume if something was...

My Phantom sloppy steering issue, help needed!

Hi guys, I can't seem to shake this steering issue, it feels like it doesn't start to steer straight away if that makes sense, in a straight line I can move the wheel 15-20 degrees side to side without any steering or roll action which you'd expect, nothing. I'm lose to putting the car in the...

    bulge on eagle f1 a2

Whilst putting some air in my tires I noticed a 20p sized bulge on the side wall, just before the corner. Obviously I'm annoyed because a) I'm no curb scraper and b) this means I now have to cycle everywhere for 2 weeks until I get payed :( After looking on the net, it sees similar things have...

    Subframe question

Theres 2 16mm bolts per mounting bracket, remove all 4 and iirc you can leave the column bolt and the two captive M8's alone, make sure the rack is adequately supported :)

Cavernous pothole = steering wheel not straight, pulls to the right, dodgy full lock

Re: Cavernous pothole = steering wheel not straight, pulls to the right, dodgy full l This happened to my pug hdi, bent track rod and wheel was buckled. And a 6 month vendetta with the local council which proved unfruitful.

    What to do?

This. My car is a keeper by default now. Purely because I can't justify selling something that has cost me equal to the sum I payed for it lol! (some mods too though)

Had rocker resealed, still loosing oil :(

I had a closer look and the oil doesn't look so old underneath, but without proper testing and conformation it could be anything above. I've cleaned off the fresh oil and got the sump looking like new, removedbthe skank foam from the undertray and cleaned it and 'borrowed' a sorbet sheet from...

I recently got my belts and dephaser done and got the rocker resealed, no more oil pissing out the top! But I'm still loosing oil ffs :( I've had a look under the car and there and there's trace on the sump, but i reckon that's aftetmath from the top leak. Any ideas on what it could be...

Whats wrong with your car right now??

Paintwork is so swirly it makes me want to vomit alot, rear damper decided it prefers the oil outside, steering rack bushes are loose like sleeve of wizard. Hopefully my dampers arrive tommorow, then it's a weekend of shampoo, clay and menzerna! Mmmmmmmm

new steering rack bushes, huge improvement.

How much ballache are these to do, compared to engine mounts arb bushes etc? And chip, would it be fine to use an stainless bolt as I lost the steel M8 from the kit, it's an a4-80 which iirc is roughly the same as an 8.8 in tensile strength?
