Agree The KW Clubsports I referrred to above - one of the dampers is on its way out after very few events - less than 20. The problem with those is that they can't be rebuilt and that's a MASSIVE issue. At least, KW themselves won't touch them. I didn't enquire with anyone else.

I don't understand some of the views in this thread. Having done many trackdays in different cars over the last 4 years, it's a given that you go for adjustable height and damping with higher spring rates when you build a car for the track. Any other view is nonsense.

It's really great fun. I've come from 4 years of BMW track cars so I have been dreading moving into a FWD car but it has so much else going for it that it can be forgiven. The lightness and 'chuckability' really stand out, and not having ABS really concentrates the mind and adds a scare factor...

The most quoted reply to running harnesses and fixed back seats without a cage is the risk of serious spinal injury. In a road car I believe the inertia reel and reclining seats allow the user to move around in the event of an accident. With a fixed bucket and harness you can't move at all...

Good point. I wasn't very clear in my first post. It's for road use with occasional trackdays over the next 12-18 months. If I enjoy it more than I'm expecting (as it's FWD) I would possibly keep it and make it a dedicated track car after the period mentioned.

Well I called about that car in Bolton and the seller warned me against having a pre-purchase inspection done. Hmmmm, that would be a shed then! Very thankful he actually did warn me off though rather than have me waste a chunk of cash.
