From past experiences. Personally i wouldnt drive it, maybe get youre friend to come to you. Im sure im not the only person thats had an aux belt wrap around the cam belt. Seriously. Dont drive it. Doesnt matter how careful you do so. And save yourself a lot of money.

Be careful as if that aux belt comes off it will most likely take the cambelt with it.

This turned out to be the dephaser. Even though it didnt sound like the top. It was vibrating through various metal components. £480 all in with belts etc. four ashes renault specialists.

Hi. My car has started to make an intermittent rattle. Its not constant. If i put my ear down to the right hand wheel i can hear it. It seems to be coming from the bottom half of the cambelt side of the engine. When warm or cold. Dont think its the dephaser as its not coming from the top i dont...

Feels lovely to drive now too. My hands dont stick to the wheel. Feel much more confident around the corners.

Haha. Joking aside. It isnt sagging at all. I wouldnt fit a saggy wheel in my car. I would send it back. Its just the effect on the pic.

I think to say it looks ridiculous is a bit of an overstatement to be fair. It looks better than the melted wheel in the first pic. And it looks better than the one in the pic in my opinion apart from the thumb grips.

Removed the rubber ones that perish and remould new ones onto the wheel. Then re trim it.

Finally got round to getting my melted wheel sorted out. Had it done by jack at royal steering wheels. Highly recommend. Didn't want an aftermarket wheel and lose cruise con. And didn't want to get robbed by renault for a new wheel.
