Hi guys
I'm after some advice here. My 182 went into the body shop to have some very light damage to the front end repaired. They called today to say it is all fixed and ready for collection but when they took it on a test drive it would not rev above 3000rpm and it has gone into limp mode...
Whats the max load a 182 boot can take? Im due to pick up a new 2.0 16v engine this weekend and wondering if I can just put it in the boot with the back seats down and scaffold boards across the floor and seats to spread the weight and protect the trim.
I can recommend a place in Devon that have just done a great job of one of my wheels that was very slightly kerbed. They also matched the Anthracite perfectly. Around £50 a wheel depending on how much work they need.
Does anybody know the paint code for the 182 alloys? It seems that Renault dont actually have a code for them. Just getting mine refurbed at the moment so would be good to know...
Someone did this to me in a car park, made a 15cm scrape just below the fuel cap. Nobody ever said anything and no note left, I wasn't very happy. This was on my Cav, not the Clio...
Fair enough, I think everyones has their own opinion on the right or wrong thing to have done. I personally feel that if someone calls me an idiot I want to know why they think I am an idiot, just because I clean my cars once a week doesn't make me an idiot. I am sure my neighbour is sat in...
Okay, so I hear what people are saying in that his daughter has just picked up on something he said but if I said to my daughter "look at that idiot cleaning his car" I wouldn't class that as being jokey. Fair enough if he just said "oh look, our neighbours cleaning his car again", I can live...
See Sarah, you obviously feel that you have to justify to people that its okay to clean your car by saying that you only clean it when your son is sleeping.
Why is it so wrong to clean your car once a week? I clean my house once a week and wouldn't let that get messy and dirty. I would be...
And the 182, 1 of only 40 made, hence why I like to wash it once a week and look after it...

So, today as I do most Saturdays I set about cleaning my Black Gold 182 and my mint 14 year old diamond black Cavalier Sri. As most owners of black cars out there know, they get pretty dirty very easily and living in the country doesn't help matters.
When I was packing all my cleaning stuff...
You can buy some repair stuff from Halfrauds but it is pretty useless, I tried to use some on my Cavalier and its rubbish. I suspect the stuff you can buy on ebay is pretty much the same thing.
