yes it's a good price - it's a 2004 53 15k miles...I sold (gave away) my 2003 52 plate Cup with 22k for 6k back in July - if you cound get the seller down to say 6300-6400 then it's an even better bargain.

can't agree enough with you on this Mike, and it's not a go at the FF 172's either, my Ph1quick was lovely but for sheer driving feel the Cup is the best car I've ever owned...still miss it...:(
need the car + about 40k to 'compete' for a season, oh and don't forget the consumables like fuel/oil/tyres/pads etc...call it 60k for a season and you might get in the top 10 at one of the wet races if you are any good...
AOK Cup - that is a fantastically detailed technical appraisal of the Cup, you are in fact, my new hero - THE 172 CUP IS THE CAR TO HAVE, It's the most raw drivers car of the lot -AND the quickest, just be careful in the wet.

any new car loses 17.5% (the VAT) of it's value the moment you drive away from the dealer, unless it's a Citreon of course (they were selling all their cars at one point last year without the VAT - played havoc with the used car values)...if you've got 10k or more to spend get a Trophy - Evo mag...
