No get a refurbished one either off ebay or from a local suplier. There are plenty of companies about that will do an exchange where you will give them your motor for them to refurb and they will give you a refurbished at a discounted price because of you giving them yours if all that makes sense??

Not necessarily. In my experience of hoses popping off or splitting I have never seen smoke. I would also guess that it is either a split hose or has popped off. Either that or a vac line somewhere has popped off or split. It's a cheap fix but can be a nightmare to find depending on the size of...

Doing some research on the Web it does seem that crankshaft sensors only are at fault if car won't start at all. Is this wrong?

It's OK iv found underneath the airbox. Think that's it anyway hard to see.

Hi. I couldn't hear for the fuel pump as most people behind me were to busy peeping the horn at me. As for the lights it was the 1st thing I noticed was there were no other lights on the dash than the airbag and serv light which were already on.

I'm not sure. All I know is its running spot on now. I'm just worried it will do it again, worst in the traffic tomorrow in the way home from work
