    Had the same problem with my miltek and it had only been on the car a couple of months. spent an hour on the ramp heating it up and beating it about in the end we just smashed it out with an air chisel but means I will need a new piece come mot time. But worried the decat will be stuck in there...

    If the k4m is the 1.4 or 1.6 16v then yes I have I know it similar apart from the vvt but for what the two belt kits and tools will cost and ren tech doing it for 475 I may as well save myself the grief. I got no doubts I could do it myself with the correct instructions, autodata gives 5 or 6...

    I'm just going to take it to ren tech as they're local to me and for £475 by the time I've bought both belt kits and the locking tools I'm not going to save myself much for the amount of ball ache the job is to do. Thanks for your help though

    Hi just traded my e46 bmw in for a 182 it's had the belt and de phaser done before but will need doing again next year so I'd rather get it out the way sooner rather than later. I've had a good look through the site but can't really find the answers I'm looking for. Before anyone shoots me down...
