they do look really bright in the pic, and i definitely agree with you about wanting them to be comfortable on the eye. from my experience in the audi, even on full brightness they were fine. but i'll give it a go at some point early next year and put some pics up :) hopefully it'll be okay!

i think i'll buy the ambient kit that is on ebay, the same one i fitted to my audi.. and see what happens :) even if i go from the live/negative off the radio , so that it comes on with that. reckon it'll look alright

really nice wheel choice! good thing is.. you have a small engine, so have more money to spend on mods. i have a 172.. and all my money goes on fuel :P

definitely use lacquer :) will add protection from scratches, and also give it a better shine!

im sure i also have this on my car too! i tie wrapped it out of the way though . does it come from uinder the air box somewhere? so i'm guessing this isn't an issue with it being unplugged? just an optional extra or something?

172 here. and i'm currently getting 36.6mpg around town - 12 miles to work and back on 30/40mph roads. got 46mpg on a run to manchester and back, that was 5 hours of driving at 60mph most of the way, very pleased :)

Hi! I've noticed that after taking my bumper off, that my crash bar is pretty much dent in towards the radiator. this is after a recent incident with a tow bar :( does anyone know if the crash bar on my 172 is the same as a cheaper 1.2/1.4 etc? thanks!
