EVO magazine 184 July RS Clio 200 T versus the rest

Don't want to spoil the read for anyone who hasn't seen it yet but Evo has the RS 200T Vs Mini Jcw, 208 gti, Fiesta ST and the Nismo Juke.

Can you guess where the RS came and who won?

is that just the order of the weights?

or is that their ratings?

Edit: question refers to the first spoiler but is now irrelevant as the second spoiler answered my questions

Oh the weights? lol who cares about that? Overall verdicts?

EDIT: Oh wait. What? So the first spoiler is in fact the overall verdicts.

Lap Times round West Circuit @ Bedford Autodrome.

Fiesta ST 1.32.9, Mini JCW 1.33.3, 208 gti 1.33.5, RS 200T 1.33.6, Juke Nismo 1.38.7

I've listed the result under spoilers

Cant say i'm surprised to be honest, although tbf to Renault, the 1st versions of their hot hatches are also pretty below par, the 197 & 225 got poor reviews, then slowly morphed into the 200 and R26. In 3 years time, the 200T will be a manual, with less weight and more power. Ill consider one then.

Yup. I'm not surprised.

It'll sell. Just not to the kind of people that have given Renaultsport its reputation in this country.

They'll all go and buy the ST.

Just a shame no manual now, pretty ballsy of them though isn't it.
Crap having to wait for the fully matured car with manual and less weight.

I dont think it will go manual, but I agree with the rest.

It looks like my decision to order the st was the right one, hoping the dealer will get in touch to say the delivery date has been brought forward but I'm not holding my breath.

Personally I would just wait till you can testdrive one before you order rather than order one without knowing what they drive like.

What was the lead time?, my other half ordered a new Corsa VXR and its 14 weeks, tuttut

Ouch am I missing something? The standard car drives like a treat so don't have any doubts about the new RS version. We don't all thrash them around a track. It has what I want from it, subtle styling, four doors - helps get the Mrs onside when buying new, cruise control - ST doesn't come with that, better mileage and lower road tax than the 182.
For all those who like to spout off about the car they haven't driven yet, it's in your local dealers next month so hopefully it drives as bad as you believe it will.

I ordered on 5th may with estimated delivery date of 30th June so roughly 7/8 weeks, but it seems to be a bit of luck of the draw to when they are actually being delivered.
