There will be an afternoon sign-on and briefing too.

In fact the sign-on desk is manned by the Javelin folks all day pretty much so you can sign-on when you like, but there will be set times for the briefings.

So for example I could roll up at say 10am miss the morning brief and get briefed in the afternoon for my track session?

In terms of food / camping, I have a Weber kettle bbq that's spare, which I could bring with me, although it's looking a little small for the amount of people potentially going

You won't be able to cater for everyone mate, just bring the Weber and by the end of the Saturday night most people will split into smaller groups. That's what happened last year. Midnight feast FTW.
