The Loctite SI 5980 is just black silicone and definitely not the one to be using unless very careful.
The guy in that video, James, he's built loads so knows how much sealant to put on so it's probably ok for him. Too much and it'll ooze out into oil ways.

Yeah it's around factory spec, they're anywhere from -1 to -1.5 and 20'-30' toe in per side.
Dial it in to -2.5 and 10' toe in per side and it'll be sound.
Don't really want parallel toe on the rear unless you like it tail happy.
As Rob said, all 182's had the wishbones with the extra caster.
You're better off having yours blasted, having owned from new at least you know they're straight and true.
The dephaser is active from 1800rpm to around 6500rpm, so the kick isn't from that. More so the engine getting into peak VE.
Worth seeing what it's like after swapping the exhaust back after the MOT.
See what it's like after the alignment.
Although it might be worth checking for any play in the ball joints and any lower arm bushes before the alignment.
At least then you can change them before wasting money having to get the alignment done twice.
