wots the best psi

  Megane 1.6 Dynamique
The recommended for a 1.2 16v is 28 front/26 rear and 32 front/30 rear for motorway iirc.

Mate if you asking if the thickness of the tyre or the size "ie: 205" effects the pressure then the answer is no..... psi is set at standards, as listed above, regardless of the size of your tyre. Example, wether you have psi 32 in a 21 inch tyre or psi 32 in a 16 inch tyre, doesnt make a difference, just means more air, but doesnt effect what your psi should be ... if you can make sense of what im getting at.

Thats because its PSI.

PSI = Pounds per Square Inch

You can play with what you put in by starting with a low figure (say 29 all round) then going for a drive with some hard cornering (roundabouts etc) to gauge how it feels on turn in and if it moves around too much during the corner.

Go back to the pump and put it to the most you want to try (33 all round, perhaps) then repeat. You should feel the difference.

You can then come down from that till you reach a happy compromise :)
