will it fail an mot with a decat pipe

was just woundering if my ph 1 172 would be 100% definate to fail its mot without the cat, is it worth waiting till i get my new mot the stick the decat on??? cheers

every 3 years is hardly a pain the ass though is it?? Or get friendly with your MOT tester,lol.

once a year.. not every 3 - but get to know your mot tester, it helps.

My mate is an MOT tester, all mots are now electronic so you cant trick them.

But answer this- If you have a decat pipe on your car and the engine management light has,nt come on, does this mean that there is no bad gases being detected?
Or is it jus the bulb may need changing?? lol
8months with a decat and still no lights on the dashboard.

Good question, not sure myself, but what the MOT testers use to measure gases would be a lot more accurate than what the clio sensor trys to do, i have heard of cars passing the MOT with a decat on though...
