whats this part? some sort of brace from engine bay??
ITB'd MK1
that's the dogbone re-enforcing brace. Goes from the front dogbone bolt, forwards, to the bottom of the gearbox

Thats what it looks like to me, whats different about it apart from that little bit of metal on the end.

it's just different from the subframe brace. The hook locates on the box casing.
