Weird mis-fire....

just got the valver back on the road after a new torsion bar being fitted and the joys have started already. Im getting a strange misfire, lack of power when I put the foot down. Im suspecting the leads as the plugs are fairly recent. The thing that confuses me is that if you just rev it whilst stationary and out of gear there is no mis-fire at all. It just progresses smoothly through the rev range. Any1 ever experienced this?
