Upgraded discs and pads

Hi was driving the windy roads in Dorset the other day and coming up to sharp corners the car has difficulty slowing down and the brake almost feels like it's grinding when I'm pressing down.

Need to to upgrade these brakes to match the 130bhp I'm producing now and the car has all the extras which means its very heavy.

Recommendaoms?

Grinding noise... I bet your pads are worn down to the backing more like.

Yeah that's what I was thinking mate, it's not making the grinding noise as I would have changed them instantly but the pedal feels gritty even after a few miles run and the car isn't stopping as quick as when I first got it. Either that's because the pads are just about dead or it's down to the extra power I'm running and not used to it.

Probably just one of the pads down to the metal. Easy way to check is to do what most people would do and take the wheel off and have a look!!!!
Please tell me the 130 bhp comment was tongue in cheek.

Certainly keeps up with a 1.6 VVT easily. Its probably producing 125BHP tops with all the extra things I've got on it too. Danlp6 usually has nothing good to say and is a giant troll which is why I went against his advice to go to KTEC after reading all his other posts.

Please do not comment on any of my threads Danlp6 if you have nothing good to contribute.
 
Do so at your own risk. I shall certainly laugh when it blows up. Sadly I've dealt first hand with their guy's mapping, (and it cost me 3 engines) hence why I'm in a position to comment. I'm far from a troll, infact I will only give out advice that I'd give my friends and family alike.

I had a customers car run on my local rolling road that I personally trust, it ran 173 with 146lb-ft. The same car, with nothing different, then ran 187 at ktec. Besides I have plenty good to contribute, I have done for years and now run as specialist.

Mate I'd listen to his advice he knows what he is on about.

i would ignore danlp6, i had friend which owned a trophy for 2 years and a r26r for two years and recommended them to me based on quality of work service and knowledge.

Just to note, this comment of mine re.tongue in cheek was more to do with the fact that the OP as obviously had some improvement made to his engine and therefore felt that he suddenly had some overpowered monster that couldnt be stopped even if you chucked a couple of parachutes out the back.
It was nothing to do with claimed BHP figures ( dont know and dont really care what his model clio would chuck out power wise ) and the comment had absolutely nothing to do with K tec ( a mate had a load of work done by them last year including a remap and he was/is perfectly happy ).

Right so K-tec are s**t!! Get over it then because every thread i read always goes the same way when they are mentioned...

If people choose to use them let them carry on. Gets so tiresome and repetative on here sometimes. I think you are all crap (except a couple) lol hence why i don't use any of you..:)

Yep he may have fucked up lots of cars (including yours:()

All im getting at is the moment the name is mentioned in any thread its side stepped into the usual barrage of crap . Which is a shame as some decent threads get wrecked ,locked or deleted...

Yes I've had mine recently done and I am happy; They have clearly cleaned up their act with all the bad threads going around with them. It's not that mate, its just the standard brakes are b****cks and with all the extras in the car it is really difficult to stop at high speeds safely. If I am going to be tracking this then I definitely want to know that I can stop when needed to. Apologies, I thought you were slating me; seems to be plenty of it going on this forum.
