Todays Mainly Interior Valet (Something for the Jap Fans)

  Flame Red Delight
One of my friends off this forum just recently got rid of his old teg (DC2 i think it was in black, i have valeted it before so search my threads if you fancy a look) and had asked me to try and sort out the grubby interior. First thing i will say is the driving position in these cars is phenominal. I personally like them more in the white/red etc but for the price he got it at i would have taken the blue aswell. I will be doing an enhancement detail on it later this year so i just gave the outside a quick wash.

Method/ Productsused (not in this order to confirm):
Snow foam (valet pro neutral)
2 bucket method on the outside ( chem guys citrus wash and gloss)
Brite Gell wheel cleaner
Chem guys trim on the trim and Tyres

Interior:
Chem guys interior cleaner sprayed on and agitated with a brush and then used my wet vac machine also with the chem guys interior cleaner but in it to remove all dirt. Pics arent great im affraid sorry.
I dressed the trim etc with VIP Dressing from chemical guys (great smelling shiney stuff :))

As said above sorry about the lack of after pics, the interior does look clean originally but i can assure you the headlining etc all was yellow and stunk of smoke and i managed to remove all of the dirt from the carpets and headlining and managed the almost get rid of the smoke smell on first treatment which i was very pleased with. Hope you all like,

Cheers

Good work mate, love the black recaro's, nice change from the red

Thanks mate, yea it really does make a difference in them i feel. I actually really like the black ones, i would still have the red purely because i would be able to keep them mint instead of the dirty red seats you normally see inside them.

i was thinking about one of these i like them but they are a bit old now and having a ep3 ctr previous it put me off honda. Looks a good job that you have done mate

I personally want one, championship white with White c pack :) very nice Cars in the flesh I like ep3s what's up with them mate ? Hondas are supposed to be very reliable.

It was the steering on the type r that i hated, it had no feel to it at all, i just couldnt get any confidence in the car. I knew it probably would go round a corner fast but i didnt dare to because i didnt feel connected to the car. The engine, gearbox and interior ( I had the premier edition so bucket seats same as the dc5 but red and black) were brilliant.
I had mine up for sale after only having it a week which was a shame as i realy liked them and took me a while to save up for it. I put some toyo tyres on it and kept it for a few months, it did improve it but there was still hardly any feel. Was quicker than the clio top end too

To be honest mate i arent sure i never worked it out, i am guessing simialr to the clio, it was bad on fuel unless you lived in VTECH. All i would say is if you are thinking about having one test drive one first i wish i did, you might not mind the steering thats just my opinion but if i could go back i would of kept my 106gti or gone for an integra as they have the hydraulic power steering

A good friend of mine is selling an immaculate champ white/red recaro's with the c pack at the mo. 32,000 miles if your on the look out, seats could do with some of the above treatment though lol

This is my teg and I really can't praise the work Callum did on the car enough! The interior is totally transformed from something that let the car down, to being at a great standard.

As a quick aside, I would also say that whilst the EP3 may have a lack of 'feel' in the steering there is no way you could say it about the DC5. I've been majorly impressed with the way they have it set up as you can really feel what is going on on the road.

Will take you for a drive in it next time Callum - give you a proper idea of what the car is like!
