The god of all engines? 335d

Picked up a 335d M Sport Coupe a few days ago, what a bloody great engine.

Seriously goes like stink and returns good MPG!

The powers just always there, apart from like the second delay you get from all diesel engine cars, soon as you put your fun down bam, it goes.

I can see why it won engine of the year!

Got a fully loaded one, has all the decent options, if anyone knows someone that wants one, its on sale. I'll get some decent pics of it 2morw. :)

DMS remap = hi to 345bhp. Cant believe the price of these now. Seen an 07 regger last week for under 20k, ok it was the saloon, but decent barge.

Meh, diesel. Quick, but no enjoyment in it for me. Can see the appeal on that type of car though.

Why is everyone going sensible all of a sudden? As the bear said, Diesel is a bit, meh... but nice motor all the same.

My 335d M Sport Coupe

Took some pictures of it today, here they are.

Awesome car, the engine is really special, with a remap these things would be lethal!

Nice car,

You do just stick your Shofi plate on though yeah? I know you aren't stupid enought to pay £80 quid every time a car passes through don't I? :)

As much as i'd love a *35d Beemer, it would be the 5 series version for me!

Cant help thinking the boot needs a lip spoiler of some sort!

It definatly moves, had a go with my mates CLS55 AMG the other night and upto 100, nothing in it, after that he only creeps ahead slightly. Its insane how quickly you get to silly speeds!

I like them apart from the looks and the interior. The engine and chassis are epic though. Our accountant has a mapped one.

Unless people have driven one i dont think you can say its not fun.Way faster than clios and quicker on a track.
My father in law had a standard 535D and that was very quick.

They are limited to 155mph,surely thats fun.
You can also have some fun driving a 535d so im sure the 335d is even better.

Each to there own though...

I have, thanks. As I said, they are fast. Very. But it's a boring engine imo. The limited power range, the noise, it's all dull for me. And the 335 is hardly economical, get the petrol!

My mates got a Petrol, i find it far worse to drive!

Its economical, i'm averaging 25mpg around town, with a heavy right foot.

'Fun' is usually a perceptive thing, whats fun to you is different to someone else. :)

I agree with Warren. Just because it gets to 155mph doesn't mean its fun. Sure its a good car, but its not exactly a 'toy'

I'd pick the diesel over the petrol

Oh don't you worry.. I'll be back in a slitwagon next year ;)

When buying a 3 series, the twin turbo'd diesel is the only way to go!
