Steering Lock Removal

I cant seem to find a definitive answer, basically i need to remove the steering lock on my 172 in order for it to adhere to MSA regulations. So whats the easiest and quickest way to do this? Im still running standard ignition barrel etc. Thanks. Oh dam note to self must renew cliosport membership!

Did this post a week or so ago...here . Once out then cut the thin bit of metal which removes the move able steering lock part and refit.
