Starter Motor Issues

Hello there having problems with the girlfriends starter motor I hit it with the hammer earlier to start the car being having problems for weeks.. Going to try taking off and lubricating I think the solanoid is nackered.. wondered if anyone knew of any issues theyve had and how much renault charge for one new ?

What engine is it?

it dosent matter now.. took it off tested it off the battery solenoid operates and the motor spins so lubricated it seems fine now!

did the ARB bushes while i was on with maintenance ,
