I bought an 02 plate 172 recently and it has one under the passenger seat and the manufactuer is VDO dayton, i assumed it was the one fitted by renault?? But mine doesnt work keeps saying no cd after checking and yes iv tried new and old cd's etc and still doesnt work so im guessing the unit needs to be replaced, but was checking first that it is a factory fitted one?

I believe that the factory one is the one shown here : http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=275449 Certainly the one I have in my 182 is the Alpine one and the one I have for sale (from a Ph1 172) is too.

I would be interesed in the Alpine CD Changer, how much you looking for?

Any body with an early phase2 172 confirm what manufactuer their standard cd changer is please!
