Spanish 182

Hey there,
Im Spanish, have been reading the forum for some time now and can say you have so many great cars there, i will post some photos of mine and some friend's clios, hope you enjoy.


My car is a Clio 182, around 44k miles atm, bought in October 2005.
Always SP98 and Castrol RS, only the best!

- Steering wheel has been changed for a rally one, these are very common here in Spain.
- The suspension is a KW V2, 3cm down aprox, its a bit bouncy now but i love the behaviour in the corners.
- Wheels are Speedline Turinis in 16 (wanna get some 2118 in the future)
- Engine and exhaust is stock, wanna get a proper exhaust, just looking for one, maybe a complete orbisoud cup or Rc Racing... dunno yet

This is the driver's seat, its a replica but i think im gonna get an original one, this feels a bit hard

Thanks for the answers

Was hard to choose between Silver or White rims, finally got the whites for a more traditional "rally style"
I see you prefer antrhacite for your cars, not a very popular colour in Spain at the moment but it looks really good

Nice pics and nice car fella although I'm not sold on the White wheels against the silver? Not a colour combo I've seen before I dont think so looks a bit odd to me.

What wheels are on your mates Monaco 172?

Those are Speedline 2112, also known as Speedline Grupo A (grupoA is a category in rallyes) The original ones are only made for Renault cars and need spacers.
To be honest i prefer how they fit on the Clio 16v.

Hola ;) where do you live ? I live in malaga, torrox and i have seen 2 clio sports in 4 and a half years, not very popular here. And do you find clio sports very expensive ?
P.s i think the silver rims look good with silver.

Hi mate! im from Asturias (racing paradise haha)
we have so many sports in here, not many Mk1, but so many Mk2 and Mk3, i always see 1 or 2 in the way to work. I supose its due to the Rallying tradition we have in the North. Young people loves fast cars and the roads are good for it.
The prices... well around 8000e for the 182s, 13k the 197s depending on the milleage

I think the law is changing this month and it will be more dificult to get the ITV with a non stock car, you have to pay for everything you change.
My suspension comes with some documents so i should not have problems but.... who knows.
I will remove Steering wheel, baquets and exhaust to get the ITV, after that i will put everything again :)

what most people do here is get the car in stock, get the ITV and then put everything again. This country sucks in that way....

Lol i had to do that with my beta rr 50, get itv then stick on the 80, carbs exhaust etc. I wouldnt mind having a standard clio sport, the only thing would be coilovers.

Its a cheap car, 8000e for a good unit, ~ 800e insurance and then its all about oil / fuel and tires... not a big deal :D
coilovers with Crhistmash extra salary and thats it! hahah

How old are you ? You can get a 172 for about 3000 euros in england :eek: seems like a cheap car to run from what i see on here :)

I want my clio sport for when im 21 hopefully my insurance will be the same. All cars are cheap in u.k :-/ whats the tax like ? And hows your english so good ?
