Seamy first clio sport

So after after owning two 106 gti's over two years and both having the same problem with rot I decided to upgrade a little, here are the two culprits:

This one ended up in the car graveyard

and my first

as the blue on left me with no car, I got offered this clio 172 for a price I couldn't turn down,

the day I took the car

was abit dirty after been sat for awhile so gave it a bit of a clean

now it is a high mileage example, but wear the body work is showing its age the interior is pretty mint, no rips or anything on the seats, only issue is the rubber grips on the steering wheel

so the theme of this little project for now is fix and tidy, the cambelt and dephaser pulley need changing, going to try and save the front lights as they have yellowed over time, as much as I like the exhaust note, the back box looks, well, crap so this will have to change, ideas appreciated. Also the wheels, I don't like how the car sits on them, they seem to be to deep into the arches so again these will be changed.

Looks good! I think the exhaust doesn't look too bad to be honest.. although those 106's.. moretts are too overrated and I don't like them haha

I liked the look it gave the car but it comes down to personal choice with them, don't think I would buy another set for another car tho, the build quality is not brill, only on major mounting bolt, and the lug snaps far to easy. No matter what I did I could never get a proper beam spread, like holding a tealight in a deep cave lol

So I got bored, and took the side strips off and ended up with these,

they look tired and a bit rough, so i proceeded to carbon wrap them, now this is the first time I have ever tried to wrap anything,

now I'm not entirely happy with them but as a first attempt I don't think I did to bad. So when I get chance ill probbely redo them lol

So today decided I would get my headlights polished by a mate and try to get the yellow pitting out to be fair the result speaks for its self!

Hell of a difference there. What did your mate use on them?

Some sanding pads n machine polish, has made hell of a difference in the bean pattern also and all for £15, will be getting the whole car machine polished soon too did a little test to see how much difference it will make n it wants doing lol

So this happened yesterday,

So Unfortunately I'm having to look at getting a new front bumper and a xenon headlight, I have put an ad up in the wanted section, but if any one has said parts let me know.

That'll have bent the slam panel too, probably the bar the bumper sits on as well.

It's curled the bottom of the slam panel where it hit the exhaust of the other car, tbf it was a 'slow' crash, slipped of the brake coming off a roundabout to a zebra crossing, come to the conclusion you should not drive in toms and wear correct foot wear, live n Learn I guess
