Samsung vs Sandisk SD Cards

  A4 Avant & A3
Hi All,

My old man has just bought a Canon 600d & he's just asked if i want his old 450d to which i said yes please! (i know nothing about photography but starting to get an interest in it now)
I've offered him some money for the camera as i guess it's still worth a few quid? but my old man being like he is, won't take a penny off me..

As a thankyou i decided i'd buy him a 16Gb SD card, it says it needs a class 6 or above for the 1080 video.
I've found amazon have a Sandisk Extreme class 6 for £23 or theres a samsung class 10 for around £15.

Which one should i go for?.... or are there any other suggestions?

Class 10 all the way if he's going to be using the video function, I use a 10 speed Transcend card in my 550D, does the trick.

the one which isn't fake, if either.

unless its sold by amazon, its very possible its fake.

i'd buy off play (not play trader) or mymemory

you can normally check the serial number of the card on the manufacturers website to make sure its real too when you get it.

I bought a cheap 'class 10' memory card and it can't record 1080 video, it just cuts out all the time :(

Cheers Guys, i've read previously about fake memory cards!!.. i'll make sure i buy from play/amazon direct with whichever one then.
And looks like cheap ones are a no go.. i don't think he's going to be taking much in the way of video.. just little clips here & there i expect, but as the camera can do it i don't want to go limiting it by buying a crap card!.
I take it the samsung isn't classed as a 'cheap' card?

Thanks for the info.
