Riggers' Track Fiesta ZS...

my battery terminal box arrived yesturday...
before -
after -
and yesturday after about 2 hours i done it! finally seperated my exhaust, so off came the cat-back and was replaced with my center section and back box off my old ZS...
fits the bumper cut out perfectly i think -
where the centre silencer should be/was...
but, i need a new decat pipe as the brackets are ridiculously low, like less than 2" from the floor aqnd scrapes every speed bump lol...
the milltek clamps not the new shiny one...
Oh and btw, it sounds like a totally different car noiw, i thought it was deep on my old zs but with this having a de-cat it sounds immense, soooooooo deep on idle and proper racey sound past 4k
ill see if i can get some vids up later...

good job you did grind them down otherwise i think we woyldve struggled spotting the 3 holeswhere it was blowing slightly...
all in all, well chuffed with the exhaust now, will get some vids up in abit and ill post them up later

Well yesturday AdamAnderton found his spare set of door handles which ive been wanting for ages, so yesturday i sprayed them silver (proper job for once sanded, primer, paint then laquer lol) only for when i came to fit them to the car they are quite alot darker than the moondust silver, wish i bought the proper paint now and not 'aluminium' colour spray lol... looks quite good from some angles but others they look like a bluey siler type colour lol...
while they were drying i attacked my doors with a jig-saw, obviously left the strengthenin bars in for now, then i sprayed the inside silver...
obviosly not finished yet as it was going dark and i didnt have any tape or cable ties on me so i still need to tidy up all the wires and give the doors a clean...

Hoses arrived today...
ordered some Magnecor KV85 ignition leads (red ones) to match everything else, plus i already have a buyer for the blue ones anyways, next week im gonna order some red samco coolant hoses then the bay will be done!

please please please get some decent pullies if you are going to, avoid kent/piper parts, especially their verniers at all costs!
you only need to search on here, clio16valver and williamsclio to see many many failures of snapped/sheared kent/piper verniers, there are pictures on some of the threads too iirc...I could name 10 people off the top of my head!

I had a piper pulley on my punto GT, seemed to cope well with 200+hp, must just be renault?
was on a ford escort old model two of the people....others include 2live on here, adams_16v, etc, they were clios
*apparently* there was a recall at some point, but i still havent seen people rating them from build blogs and threads ive read all over the web (quite alot lol)....
id spend more money and get some by a decent manufacturer, well IMO anyway

Does it come down to cost you think? I know my piper cam, and pulley came in at around £300ish for both, that sold it for me really
possibly, I think alot of people class them at the cheap end of the market....depends on opinion though i guess....
the blue valver i had was fitted with kent pullies on a set of piper cams, didnt seem brilliantly made but who knows.....the recall may have fixed it, if there ever was acctually one

jon from shawspeed supplies piper alloy verniers for 200 inc. vat, and hes the one to talk to about these engine as its what he does, build them...

After seeing another silver ZS on sunday on the convoy home i noticed that hes cut out where the exhaust cut out is, when i had my black ZS i always wanted to do this but never seen it in person done before, so i liked how it looked on his so i thought id copy him lol -
also put some edgeing strip over where i cut out the inner skin off the doors and cut a little more out while i was at it, no pics but you get what i mean lol

Magnecors arrived today, fitted them then sprayed the winscreen wash, cooland and power steerring fluid caps red to go with the theme, not goin ott like i did with my black zs tho lol -

anyways updates of today so far...
Removed the rear arch linings -
then sanded and primered -
then paint -
then the drums needed doing again so -
and went to demontweeks to pick up my new wheels and tyres this morning
will reveal them later on with help with f0xys camera...
also i can run without wheels spacers on the front now aswell

lol picking up my new wheels and tyres and was getting a cut-off switch for f0xy...
