Removing rstuner map help

Hi guys,

im trying to remove my rstuner map as requested, I'm having a custom map by Mike from Mike Woodford Motorsport.
But I'm having a touch of trouble, or I am doing it wrong.

The way I thought about doing it is read the Ecu then read cal to remove the rstuner map,
Then write Ecu and write cal to put my original maps on.

But when trying to read Ecu and read cal it comes up with a message saying I can't read the Ecu

Am I doing something wrong?

Or do I just write my old ones on? Without reading it first?

iirc I think you just overwrite the old map & cal. (Might pay to wait for someone who knows for deff)

As far as I remember the RSTuner maps are encrypted and you cannot read them off the car. You might be able to with a different piece of kit, but you can always just put the new map over the top of the existing map

Thanks for the quick answers guys.
May just go and write the original straight maps on to the car then, well after my dinner anyway haha.
Any other thoughts in the mean time before i do that?
