RB182 Daily Thread

Thought I'd start a project thread for this rather than putting my updates on the media thread.


Ive had a few sports since 2001;


Black 182;

Monaco 172;

172 exclusive;

2 x 172 cups

White 197;

I didn't think I'd buy another clio after the cat d cup broke me but this one came up local to me so thought if have a punt.


Pic from the advert on pistonheads;

Nice car, recent belt and dephaser done. Few stone chips and other marks but nothing major. It drove really nice on the way home and it was nice to have some toys,


Upon getting home I decided to give it a wash - snow foam, two bucket method, AG polish and AG wax. Here are the results;

The plates were looking a little tired so have opted for a 3/4 front and new rear. Also new silvervisions for the front end;

Got rid of the renault sport badge and new plate on the rear too;

That's about it really. I was going to decat it but don't think I'll bother. Definately not going as mad as I did on the cup with this one - been there and done that!

All look really good.I particularly like the 53 plate cup and this current one out of them all.

How did the 197 compare to the 1*2's?

Cup looks lovely! Rb comes up really well with a good clean, saw this earlier on a different thread and was the decider to take the stripes off mine If it's a milltek exhaust system I think the decat sounds so much better!

For looks I'd have a 197 but for driving feel I'd have a 182/172 any day.

First clean in a few weeks today;

Also fitted some cs propoganda stickers;

Swapped the oil and filter today. The oil certainly looked like it was due a change!

Its a show plate. I never use it on the road.

I don't think I'll be selling soon mate but if I do I'll let you know.

6 months tax added and swapped over the coilpack as was missing every now and again. It seems to have solved the problem!

Next on the list will be two new from tyres.

Swapping the coil pack solved my issue......for around two minutes. Added new plugs and changed the 3rd injector and now it's running sweet.

Not yet mate, i rang Andy yesterday, he said it was booked in for mapping Tuesday just gone, but it was pissing out oil through the oil return/feed gasket(cant remember which)
Its booked in again for mapping on Monday and he said i should have it back on Tuesday.
