Radio not working

Right guys any help here,

Radio is coming on, looks as if it is working, but no sound? All speakers are connected, no fuses blown, any ideas?

I thought it was a track car? lol
i had that in my previous clio although sometimes it worked. I never fixed it. In the end I just swapped the head unit

Tried the radio code? The Birmingham screwdriver? I'm not much help after that.

Not my car, it's in a mk2 ph2 1.2.

It was working, not asking for a radio code, like I say its as if its working just no sound. We tried a kenwood head unit in it, but that came up with "protected"

Is it the radio not working or just no sound at all when playing CD's too? If the former then get speakers out and continuity check from the stereo multi plug to the speaker plugs, if none they you have found the problem.

If the latter do the same with the aerial wire, the connection may have come off under the roof lining or some pikey has been through it with cable cutters.

Not tried a CD to be honest, but I will!

Will check for continuity aswell.

And it worked when we first got it, so can't be pikey related but will check if it had came off!
