As my Clio is a Renualt it has the usual rattle from the sunroof, I just wanted to write a post stating that I have cured the problem (although i'm not sure for how long) - I have simply added some universal grease to the runners and around the whole seal. It seems that the creaking I was having was simply the seal that had sort of stuck and dried to the glass meaning that the rattle was more about the glass pulling against the rubber seal.
Just wanted to post this info up so see if it would help others
