poor idle and smell of fuel

Hi guys I have recently just brought my second clio sport it is a phase 2 with 65k on it and seemed like a nice example! checked it over well when I went up to look at it and everything was all spot on!

Anyhow just went to start it up and it had a little trouble starting, so took the key back out and tried again and it started fine! but the idle is rough and jumpy, not hunting just jumps quickly between about 7-800, there is also a squeek which sounds like a belt that has started at the same time as the poor idle (dont know if there connected) and quite a strong smell of fuel!

Looking for some advice as i dont know these cars very well!

This one still has a cat in it and the smell of fuel is different to exhaust smell smells like unburnt fuel :/

I am not convinced that people following me are always as appreciative. Ha ha

On topic: with those symptoms my advice would be to visit one of the specialists listed in the traders section.

What's your fuel consumption like? Could be a failed Lambda sensor.

Errrmm seems kinda okay tbh says I get 30mpg! Would I not get an eml with a fucked lambda?
