Im thinkin of a few options for tyres sizes for my 172 cup. Best value for money. Im want sort of mid range

so if anyone could post pics up of there tyre size please

205.45.16

215.40.16 are these available ???
I just dont want the car looking like a 4x4 with to much tyre wall


The best price ive got for 205.40.16 is £52 each for nankangs fitted

You're not going to be able to see 4.5mm (that's the arch gap/ride height difference between) on a picture the size of a car or wheel.

Visually the brand of tyre, shape of sidewall etc will make much more difference than the labelled size. For one tyre sizes are generally only within 5-10% of their labelled size. Secondly there's a bigger difference from a new vs worn tyre than 4.5mm LOL.


It just seems a bit of an odd thread that's all.

Probably down to the make of tyre but I preferred the feel of 205/45/16 over 195/45/16 when driving my Cup. Currently I have the Hankook Evo V12's fitted.
