What software would people recommend I'm torn between elements 10 or Lightroom 3 although Lightroom is swaying me at the min, just after peoples thoughts, incase anyone asks I use a MacBook pro late 2011 model

Lightroom 4 Beta is out and it's free. Give it a try first and make your decision based upon experience. Lightroom ftw IMO.

I use lightroom 3 and understand that 4 is even better. I won't bother with the beta but will be upgrading.
