PAS pipes knackered. Need help urgent.

It's the rear pipes near manifold, one is knackered but garage can't find which one it is so labour is going to be loads and so will Renault parts, is there a Clio trader, garage that can do this and have done it before.

any info would be much appreciated as don't want to take out a mortgage to get one pipe fixed please help?????

Is it the high pressure hose that cones from the pump at the front, up over the gearbox and round the back (by the manifold like you mentioned) and into the rack??
i changed mine, ive put a basic guide up in the guides section if its of any use

I'm not sure what pipe it is as the garage doesn't even know what pipe it is. But drains the fluid rapidly, but your guid could help them as they haven't done it before thanks

Theres one main one that goes from pump to rack
and one thats reservoir to pump

I wouldnt have thought it would be too hard to track the leak down

I have not had this problem or changed the pipe, but this link shows what some people have done to repair pipe, again not tried it but might save you some cash

if its the high pressure pipe that runs from the PAS pump, along the engine, over the gearbox, along the back of the engine bay (lower) all the way to the drivers side of the rack (yes its one piece!)

pipe - £150ish new from renault (price may have changed)
3 hours labour tops
bit of PAS oil

we charged £310 all in inc VAT on the last one we did (but as i say the pipe may have gone up or down in price since)

I got a used pipe (£30) and fitted it. **** of a job. Worth paying someone else to do it tbh!

After a while i was just going to get it towed to a garage but as i was skint i plodded on lol

i have a special tool for getting at the pipe on the rack which makes it easier, but its still a t**t! I have heard of people removing the engine to fit it! (NOT NEEDED!)

Power steering pipe, part number??

Does anyone know what the part number of this is, it's the smaller one that goes from the rack up to the pas fluid tank? Cheers
