Painting Driveshafts

Hi all. Just a quick one, I have the driveshafts off my car and I'm looking to give them a lick of paint before refitting, can anybody recommend the best type of paint to use and process to follow?

Would I be ok to paint over the ABS rings?

I take it I don't need to worry about unbalancing the shafts by painting them?
