P0110 Intake Air Temperature Sensor 1 Circuit???

  C3 Picasso Beast
Hi...

Basically the car won't start so I bought a cheap code reader trying to figure out what's happening. One code came up this being P0110 Intake Air Temperature Sensor 1 Circuit. I've done a search but not much came up and from what did I understand it's something to do with the map sensor?? Is this correct and if this is at fault would it prevent the car starting?? Also where is the map sensor as I have no idea!

Thanks

There is an air temp sensor as well as a map sensor. The air temp sensor is to the right hand side of the inlet plenum and is grey in colour. I do have a spare MAP sensor if you want to try it, but if the code is air temp sensor that's what i'd be replacing, isn't MAP sensor for air pressure? Not having one would cause iratic idling i think from when mine failed.

Those two i think.

Hi, I'm also having a problem with my intake temp sensor. Its not bringing up a fault code but is showing 60 degrees on the computer data, which I don't beleive. Does any body know what the correct resistance reading of this sensor should be?

mine also shows 60 degrees after its been standing hot for a while, might be normal... although sometimes the revs at idle drop quite low when starting while still hot... do you have a similar issue?
