OMG I'm out of the dark ages.



Well, today my company upgraded me from AutoCAD LT 97 to LT 2008.

All I can say is, wow I can actually use paperspace, viewports, xrefs, and all the other functions that I used to before moving to this office.

I've been like a kid at xmas today. :D

I'm impressed with 2008. Been using it for a few months, theres some good new additions. I really like the new shade modes!
 
Haven't got that far yet. It's got it's own calculator, that impressed me lol.

There's so many benefits over 97 it's unreal though.

i cant wait to upgrade my CTP at work this year . 70k is alot of money for software imo tho, we have had 2008 for a while at work and is great tho i cant say i ever used 97 lol.
 
go upto inventer 2008 on monday at work for all our users should be fun mind you theye are onl going from 2007 lol thank god fors subscriptions

Solidworks is where its at....Inventor/AutoCAD are not a scratch on it for usability and general slickness. I love the Solidworks!
