Sounds very cheap to me, I wonder if the garage that has quoted has done one before? Personally as most will tell you on here get in touch with one of e specialists on here.

Apparently not if local-ish people are using Mr Clutch over that price LoLz

PMSL. £380's a bargain if you're getting warranty, a reciept and new box oil. From someone who knows what they're doing too!

Clutch cable isn't necessary unless you're having problems with it.

Oh, I'm sorry for being busy but it was only two weeks... I never take bookings any further in advance than that as people tend to go elsewhere without letting us know.

You managed to get a booking in for your timing belt okay though and then cancelled it so getting a date obviously isn't that hard.

PMSL. Mick- ever had a clutch change come back juddering?

If not, I'd say two weeks is worth the wait..

Plus, a company being busy, is normally a sign of a company that knows what it is doing.

From several threads on here, i think the wait be worth it

Mick is a good, knowledgeable bloke who knows what he is doing. Unfortunately he is a one man band (unless he has someone else in now) and so can't do things 'on a whim' (unlike the cowboys you took your car to).

You cant have a go at the bloke because he wont book people in a month in advance in case they go elsewhere, dont cancel and then he loses money which isnt a problem if you're salaried...but when its YOUR business and it pays the bills you want money coming in (hence why Mick does excellent job as its HIS livlihood (sp?)). The place you took your car to obviously couldnt give a frig about you and know that their reputation will be unchanged no matter what they do...

who is having a go? i know mick is good ,i booked mick in advance cos of work commitments and i did cancel 3-4 weeks in advance, however he did have a little dig , and mr clutch apparently have a good reputation.... not from me though , and if you listened to everyone you would never take a car to a garage , some people have good comments , some have bad , unfortunatly i got poor service and a poor end product and have leant a lesson .... whos to say i couldnt of had a problem somewhere else?

If anyone who is reading this thinks im having a go im not , i would defo recomend mick to do the work on your car, bike, mrs, dog .... whatever . like i say i had no real choice to put my car into mr clutch as mick was busy .... given the choice its a no brainer .
