Cheers. Don't have a manual. all trial and error. Also had a problem turning the light off. main light were on, turn knob once to side lights, everything seemed ok, then to the off position and the main lights came back on for some reason. had to turn the ignition off to turn them off. any help please. Thanks
How can I do that?
Only had the car 1 day and found the following faults:
1. Crack in the corner of the wind screen. ( Right in the bottom Left).
2. Wipers don't sit right and passenger one wobble at 60mph.
3. no lighter.
4. gearstick shroud is loose.
5. Rip in steering wheel rubber grip.
6. No wooden board in the boot.
7. Scuff on rear bumper.
8. No spare key or manual.
9. Seems a bit loud when driving.
Other that that is spot on. It's only got 68k on the clock. Cam belt was changed at 36k no sure what year it was done though. Will I have to get it done again soon and how much will it cost?

Engine off, turn the electrics on, two clicks on the key I think, then put the lights on and off twice, should beep to confirm. Steering wheels melting or grips falling apart is common across all of them, although what wooden board were you looking for in the boot? Cambelt is 5 years or 72K, I hope the aux belt was done at the same time. Cambelt, auxbelt and dephaser is about £670 from a specialist, less if you don't want the dephaser.
