New Car - PDI / wiring

Hi.

Didnt notice when picking the car up but there appears to be some "sticky residue" on the bonnet and sill - which has attracted dirt over the first few weeks as pics.

When I first saw the car it still had its sponge door protectors and "PDI required" stickers all over it. Is this whats left behind if they arent too careful in removing them?

How best to clean this cack off?

Also - bent over to retrieve something yesterday (steady....) and saw this gash wiring hanging down under the glovebox.

Is this shoddy after-market alarm shennanigins or "factory fit".

Other than that - looking great after first clean and just starting to explore 5,000+ rpm (wahey!)

i had some wireing like that when my clio was delivered. i had a sigma alarm fitted i think just before it was delivered. dont no why i didnt get a renault one, but then i didnt order it.

just poked it all back up and used a cable tie or 2.

Give it a wipe with some Autoglym Tar and Adhesive remover.

I had some stuff like it in both my front door shuts. Wiped straight off.

Bit of a dodgy wiring job there, bloody Renault. Take it to them and tell them to neaten it up!!! lol

I had this on the off-side skirt by the door. It only appeared after a week or so when the dirt started sticking to it. I had also guessed it was where some kind of protective film had been. A bit of T-cut took it right off (its all I had!)

Could do with a protector on the passenger side - bloody women and their shoes  Lift the leg over woman ffs! :p

:) - I can run to a ziptie or two - I just wondered if it was alarm related and/or common.

Thanks for advice re. the common residue. Goddam Renault tried to charge me £50 for 25ml of "Renault Ronco Residue-Off"...just kidding :p

As for Mrs yee-har...shes only 500" so the bigger issue I have with her is she sits on the seat bolsters on the way in.

"Look, I know you like the car but the seat bolsters are for restraining your fookin arse...not to be sat on!":D
